Former Punjab CM Beant Singh murder accused Jagtar Hawara appears in court, next hearing to be held on August 11
Chandigarh News: International Babbar Khalsa terrorist Jagtar Singh Hawara, accused of killing former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, was produced before a district court through video conferencing on Tuesday, but the hearing did not take place.
Hawara is facing trial in a district court for allegedly escaping from the Model Burail jail in Chandigarh. Jagtar Hawara is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
There was no hearing on Tuesday and the court issued an order saying that the next hearing will be on August 11. The case against Jagtar Hawara is going on in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Narendra in the district court.
Earlier, during the hearing of this case on July 17, Hawara’s lawyer had applied to appear in the court, but the court rejected it and asked Hawara to appear through video conferencing on every appearance.
