Jalandhar Man duped of Rs 35 lakh on pretext of sending him to US, commits suicide
Jalandhar News: A young man from Partappura in Jalandhar tragically committed suicide by consuming poison due to debt. Prior to his death, he went live on social media, explaining the reasons behind for taking this extreme step.
He was rushed to the hospital immediately after, doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Sagar Thapar, a resident of Partappura.
In the live video, Sagar mentioned that a man named Satnam Kumar Bagga had taken around Rs 35 lakh from him under the pretense of facilitating his journey to the US. However, Satnam neither sent him abroad nor returned the money, holding Sagar’s passport as well. Satnam was supposed to return a total of Rs 40 lakh to him.
