Jalandhar MC seals Agarwal Dhaba building for violation

Jalandhar: The Building Department of the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation in Punjab took significant action on Monday morning by sealing the building of Agarwal Dhaba, located on the city’s famous Cool Road, as the construction was still underway.

ATP Sukhdev said that the building had been constructed without obtaining permission from the Municipal Corporation, prompting this action.

He further said that a notice had been issued to the dhaba owners in this regard, as the building’s map had not been approved, and construction had proceeded without proper authorization.

He warned that any attempt to reopen the sealed premises or resume construction would result in further action being taken.
