Lawrence interview case to be heard in HC today, ADGP to appear to jail
The Punjab and Haryana High Court will hear today the interview case of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Punjab’s ADGP Jail has been summoned to the High Court. An affidavit was filed on behalf of the Punjab government in the last hearing, on which the High Court expressed dissatisfaction. At the same time, the High Court has also been asked about the efforts to stop the use of mobile phones in jail.
Earlier, Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh, has delivered a strong response to gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, who pleaded not guilty in the murder case.
“They gained fame by taking away my son’s life. They raised the ransom, but when it came to facing punishment, they are running away. However, we’ll present the complete truth in court,” he said.
Lawrence and Jaggu filed a petition in the Mansa court on Tuesday, asserting their innocence in Moosewala’s murder. Referring to the police charge sheet, Lawrence stated that it does not establish his involvement in the crime. The next hearing for this case is scheduled for January 5.
