Minor girl pregnant by cousin, Newborn dies in womb due to negligence of nurse in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: A shocking incident has come to light in Jalandhar, Punjab, which ruins the relationship between sister and brother.

In a village under Nakodar sub-division, the cousin has raped his sister. The incident came to light when the 14-year-old minor sister became pregnant. At the same time, when the girl was aborted, the said child died.

Regarding this, the police of Sadar Nakodar police station has registered a case under sections 376, 315, 316 of the IPC and the POCSO Act against him and a nurse. At the same time, the police have arrested the accused.

In her statement to the police, the mother of the 14-year-old girl said she runs her family by working as a labourer in Nakodar. Her husband died in 2018. He has four children.

The 14-year-old is their youngest daughter. She studies in 9th class in Nakodar. Her sister-in-law’s son had been living with them for the past one year and he raped her multiple times.
