Mohali police and gangsters encounter in Zirakpur, DSP injured
Mohali News: An encounter broke out between Mohali police and gangsters in Zirakpur area near Chandigarh on Wednesday afternoon. Three gangsters were hiding in a hotel in Baltana area of Zirakpur, which was detected by the police.
The three gangsters were involved in the murder of businessman Harjinder Singh Johal alias Mela in Bathinda on Saturday.
After the police cordon, a gangster Lovepreet has been shot in the leg in the firing from both sides. He was admitted to a government hospital in Phase-6, Mohali.
Mohali SSOC DSP Pawan Kumar was also injured in the encounter. A bullet fired by the gangsters hit him in the leg. Fellow policemen rushed DSP Pawan Kumar to the hospital.
