Rs 22 lakh robbed from Punjab National Bank in Amritsar

Amritsar: Robbers looted Rs 22 lakh from a branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Amritsar’s Rani Ka Bagh area, police said on Saturday.

According to the information received, two armed robbers who came on Activa took the staff and other customers hostage as soon as they entered the bank. Eyewitnesses present at the spot said that the number plate of the Activa belonged to Pathankot.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot. An investigation is underway by the police.
Police said CCTV cameras are being checked and accused will be arrested soon.
