Rs 27 lakh looted from arhtiya’s house at gunpoint in Jalandhar
Chandigarh: Armed miscreants robbed Rs 12 lakh in cash and jewelry valued at Rs 15 lakh at gunpoint from the residence of an arhtiya in Jalandhar, Punjab, on Monday morning.
Upon entering the house, the assailants held the vegetable worker’s wife and child hostage at gunpoint. After receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation.
The incident occurred in Sheetal Nagar, Street Number 3 of Maqsudan. However, it remains unclear why the businessman had such a substantial amount of money at home.
Balram, a vegetable trader, informed the police that masked robbers forcibly entered his residence in the early hours of Monday. Upon their arrival, the entire family was held at gunpoint, and the culprits proceeded to loot the house.
As per the victim’s account, the three assailants entered her house around 6:15 am and fled after completing the incident at 6:30 am.
