SHO arrested from his own Police Station in Jalandhar, video of traffic cops taking bribe in Amritsar goes viral

Jalandhar: The in-charge of Rama Mandi police station was arrested for allegedly accepting money from a spa center operator in Jalandhar, Punjab. Inspector Rajesh Arora of Ramamandi police station was accused of taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh in exchange for refraining from taking action against the spa center operator. A case has been registered against him. 
     Rajesh Arora had conducted a raid on a spa center and was subsequently released. Following an investigation, Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma filed a case against the in-charge.
Video of cops taking bribe goes viral in Amritsar 
     Additionally, a video depicting traffic cops taking bribes has gone viral, sparking controversy regarding the Amritsar City traffic police. In the video, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) is seen accepting a bribe from a car driver, threatening to issue a fine. 
     This incident occurred at Doaba Chowk on Court Road. An office worker in the vicinity reported that both traffic policemen had been extorting money by threatening to issue fines for several days.
       The circulation of the video aimed to shed light on how law enforcement officials exploit people under the guise of maintaining traffic order.
