Supreme Court denies bail to sacked AIG Rajjeet Hundal in drugs case

New Delhi: The Supreme Court refused to grant regular bail to sacked AIG Rajjeet Hundal in a drug racket case. In the hearing held on Tuesday, the Supreme Court said that drug trafficking has become common in Punjab, it is a big problem for the state. At the same time, if the police is involved in this, then what can be a bigger crime than this. Rajjit Singh Hundal had sought anticipatory bail from the court.
      Dismissing the plea of Additional Inspector General (AIG) Rajjit Singh Hundal, a bench of Justices B R Gavai and P K Mishra said there was a major drug problem in Punjab. Millions of families are struggling with this problem. We reject this petition. Earlier, Hundal was granted bail by the Supreme Court for a few days. After the time is over, the court has again dismissed the petition.
