Indian universities allowed to give admission twice a year like foreign institutions: UGC
New Delhi: Indian universities and higher educational institutions will now be allowed to admit twice a year like foreign universities and the University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved the plan in this regard.
UGC Chairman Jagdish Kumar said that the admission process will be started twice from the academic session 2024-25 in July-August and January-February.
He said that if Indian institutions implement this scheme, they will benefit who miss out on admission in any university in the July-August session due to delay in the results of board examinations, health-related matters or personal reasons.
