At least 500 people feared drowned after boat carrying migrants sunk off in Greece

New Delhi: According to UN agencies, 500 people are still missing after a fishing boat carrying hundreds of migrants sunk off the coast of Greece on June 14. A joint statement issued by the International Organization for Migration and the UN Refugee Agency said that although the number of people on board the boat is not clear, it is believed that it was between 400 and 750.
104 people have been rescued and 78 bodies have been recovered, while hundreds are missing and feared to have drowned in the Mediterranean Sea.
