Australia: 5 Indians killed, several injured as car rams into pub
Punjab E News: Five Indians, including two children, aged 9 and 11, were killed and several others injured when an elderly man rammed his car into the beer garden of a pub in the Australian state of Victoria, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Vivek Bhatia (38), his son Vihaan (11), Pratibha Sharma (44), his daughter Anvi (nine) and partner Jatin Chugh (30). Five persons, including Bhatia’s wife Ruchi (36), younger son Abir (six) and an 11-month-old baby, were injured and are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Mount Macedon, the 66-year-old driver of the white BMW, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
