NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore set to return to Earth on March 19
New Delhi: NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are expected to return to Earth on March 19 after a 17-hour journey aboard SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft.
The capsule undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) early Tuesday, with the splashdown scheduled for 3:27 am Indian Standard Time.
Williams is returning after nine months in space alongside Wilmore. Their departure follows the arrival of a new crew at the ISS, which includes NASA military pilots Anne McClane and Nicole Ayers, along with Japan’s Takuya Onishi and Russia’s Kirill Peskov, both former airline pilots.
