Punjabi family drown at Philip Island Beach in Australia’s Victoria, four dead
New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a family from Phagwara, including four members, has lost their lives due to drowning in Melbourne.
The victims, comprising a man and two women in their 20s, along with another woman in her 40s, were members of an extended family, as reported by local media.
The incident occurred on Philip Island, where the family, including Rima Sondhi, who had traveled to Australia to reunite with her relatives, met with this unfortunate fate.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred at Forrest Caves on the southeast coast of Phillip Island.
Despite efforts to provide first aid, three women and a man were unable to survive, including Sanjay Sondhi, who, despite being rushed to the hospital, succumbed to his injuries later.
