Rohan Bopanna creates history by winning Australian Open Men’s Doubles title

New Delhi: India’s star tennis player Rohan Bopanna has won the men’s doubles title of the Australian Open 2024 with his Australian partner Matthew Ebden.

Rohan Bopanna-Matthew Ebden defeated Italy’s Simone Bolelli and Andrea Wawsori 7-6, 7-5 to clinch the title.

Bopanna also became the oldest Grand Slam champion in men’s tennis at the age of 43. He broke the record of Jean-Julien Rojer, who won the French Open men’s doubles trophy with Marcelo Arévola in 2022. Bopanna won the men’s doubles title for the first time in the last phase of his career.
