UK Foreign Secretary arrives in Delhi on a two-day tour
New Delhi: British Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday on a two-day visit to India. His visit is to expedite negotiations for a trade agreement and to re-establish the entire bilateral partnership in key areas such as clean energy, new technology and security.
This is the uk foreign secretary’s first visit to New Delhi since Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s Labour government came to power on July 5. This is expected to open up new avenues of trade between India and the UK. “India is the emerging superpower of the 21st century, the world’s largest country with 1.4 billion people and one of the fastest growing economies in the world.”
