US, UK attack more than 30 Houthi targets in Yemen

Washington: The United States and Britain attacked more than 30 targets of Houthi rebels in Yemen on Saturday. These attacks are being carried out to destroy Iran-backed groups.

Earlier, the US carried out dozens of airstrikes on Iranian posts in Iraq and Syria, killing many people. However, the US and Iran have not yet shared any information on the death figures.

The US is retaliating after the death of three American soldiers in a drone attack in Jordan last week. The US had already issued a warning about the attacks.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), at 4 pm local time (2:30 am IST Friday), its forces conducted airstrikes against the IRGC Quds Force and allied militia groups across Iraq and Syria.

US forces attacked more than 85 targets, including several aircraft sent from the US.
