New Delhi: Cockerroach Janata Party (CJP) chief Abhijeet Dipke has announced a nationwide campaign aimed at improving the condition of government schools in villages across the country.
The campaign, scheduled to begin on August 15, will encourage parents to conduct a “social audit” of basic facilities in government schools and urge village sarpanches to take responsibility for improving school infrastructure.
In a video message, Dipke said he would launch the initiative from his village Hingoli in Maharashtra. He said he would meet the village sarpanch and request action to improve the condition of the local government school.
Dipke questioned the continued neglect of rural government schools and said children in villages still face difficulties accessing basic facilities such as clean drinking water and adequate school infrastructure. He also highlighted the challenges faced by girls in rural areas.
He said children often have to travel long distances to attend school and argued that improving government schools should be among the key priorities on Independence Day.
Dipke also questioned why the country had been able to build major government infrastructure but had not been able to ensure modern and well-equipped government schools in villages.
He appealed to parents and village representatives to take an active role in assessing school facilities and working towards improving them, saying that children of farmers and labourers should be treated as an important part of the country’s future.
