CJP spokesperson Saurav Das alleges security threat after video of residence goes viral

New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has alleged that he and his family are facing a security threat after a video purportedly showing his residence in Delhi was shared online following the recent Jantar Mantar protests.

The controversy began after Deepak Sharma, associated with the YouTube channel The Pamphlet, claimed to have uploaded a video featuring Das’s residence.

According to reports, the video shows Sharma entering the premises and attempting to look through a window. The channel’s official X account shared the video, claiming that Das lived in an upscale house in Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I (GK-I), paid an annual rent of ₹12 lakh and inviting viewers to watch a “house tour.”

The post was later reshared by the social media account The Jaipur Dialogues, after which the video quickly went viral.

Reacting to the incident while attending a two-day CJP meeting in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Wednesday, Das posted an SOS message on X and tagged the Delhi Police.

He alleged that some YouTubers and media channels had entered his residence and shared visuals from inside, calling it a serious violation of his privacy and a threat to the safety of his family.

Das further said that if any anti-social elements targeted his home as a result of the video’s circulation, the individuals responsible for filming and sharing it, along with those allegedly coordinating the campaign online, should be held accountable.
