New Delhi: Consumers already dealing with rising prices of essential commodities such as sugar and onions are set to face another inflationary pressure, with Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) increasing CNG prices by ₹3.89 per kg across Delhi and several NCR cities.
The revised prices came into effect from 6 am on Saturday.
The new CNG prices are:
Delhi: ₹86.98 per kg
Noida and Ghaziabad: ₹95.59 per kg
Gurugram: ₹92.01 per kg
Meerut: ₹95.47 per kg
This is the fifth CNG price hike of 2026. The increase is expected to directly affect commuters using autorickshaws, taxis and other CNG-powered vehicles. Higher costs for public transport and goods movement could also put indirect pressure on prices of everyday commodities.
IGL attributed the hike to the rising cost of regasified LNG in international markets. According to the company, LNG prices have remained elevated amid tensions in West Asia, making a revision in CNG prices necessary to partly offset the increased input costs.
