New Delhi: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has confirmed that his Delhi concert will go ahead as scheduled on October 30, dismissing reports that the show had been postponed over security concerns.
During a live session, Dosanjh took a dig at social media posts and newsroom debates surrounding the concert, urging people to verify information before sharing it.
“Before turning things into reels, tweets and newsroom debates, check the facts,” he said, adding that he would meet his fans in Delhi on October 30.
The singer was responding to reports claiming that Delhi Police had refused permission for the concert due to security concerns, leading to speculation that the event would be postponed.
Mocking the online discussions, Dosanjh said people had been repeatedly posting tweets and debating the issue without first checking the facts. He said he had decided to go live to address the speculation and clarify the situation.
Dosanjh reiterated at the end of the session that he would meet his fans in the national capital on October 30, seeking to put the rumours about the concert to rest.
