Toronto: A fresh war of words has erupted between gangsters Goldy Brar and Canada-based designated terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill, alias Arsh Dalla, a day after Brar allegedly claimed responsibility for the killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Several audio clips circulating on social media over the past 24 hours have fuelled the latest confrontation between the two. In one of the recordings, Brar allegedly claimed that he had conspired in Nijjar’s killing.
Dalla responded with threats of retaliation and later released a video rejecting Brar’s allegations.
Brar makes allegations against Dalla
In another audio clip, Brar allegedly claimed that Dalla narrowly survived an attack in Hamilton, Canada, after which he was secretly taken to hospital. Brar further alleged that Dalla was under police surveillance and had a tracking device fitted to his leg.
Brar also alleged that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had registered a case against Dalla in 2024 following the recovery of 5 kg of narcotics, which he claimed were intended to be distributed among Punjabi youths who had travelled to Canada on study visas.
In his first audio message, Brar accused Nijjar of providing Dalla with shelter, weapons and financial assistance and of encouraging drug addiction among young people.
Dalla rejects allegations
Dalla subsequently released a roughly 15-minute video on Punjabi social media platforms, rejecting Brar’s allegations.
He claimed that he had not met Nijjar until around a year before his death and denied receiving money, shelter or weapons from him.
Both Dalla and Brar also accused each other of working for government agencies.
Dalla additionally admitted his alleged involvement in the November 2020 killing of Dera Sacha Sauda follower Manohar Lal in Bathinda, describing it as retaliation for incidents of sacrilege. He denied being a traitor to the community and claimed that although his father had been repeatedly questioned, he had never handed over the alleged killers to police.
Nijjar killing triggered India-Canada diplomatic crisis
Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead outside a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, in 2023. His killing became a major point of tension between India and Canada and contributed to a severe diplomatic dispute between the two countries.
Brar, who is wanted in India and has been linked by authorities to several killings, including the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala, reportedly made his latest claims during an alleged conversation with Khalistani militant Paramjit Singh Pamma.
The allegations made by Brar and Dalla in the audio recordings have not been independently verified.
