Chandigarh: Pakistan’s hockey team will participate in the upcoming 2026 Men’s Asian Champions Trophy, Hockey India has confirmed. Punjab will host the tournament from October 27 to November 5.
Hockey India officials visited the Balbir Singh Senior Hockey Stadium in Phase 9, Mohali, and announced details of the tournament schedule.
The tournament will begin in Jalandhar on October 27 at 2.30pm, while the semifinals, final and closing ceremony will be held at the Mohali stadium on November 5.
The much-anticipated India-Pakistan clash is scheduled for November 1 in Jalandhar, coinciding with Punjab Day celebrations.
Hockey India general secretary Bhola Nath, along with other officials, visited the stadium complex and met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Mann assured Hockey India officials that all participating teams would be provided with the necessary facilities and arrangements during the tournament.
