New Delhi: Amid continuing protests in Delhi and growing outrage among students across the country over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that fast-track courts would be set up to ensure speedy trials in all paper leak cases.
In his first detailed response to the controversy, the Prime Minister said the future of the country’s youth was the government’s highest priority and warned that those responsible for compromising students’ careers would not be spared.
Modi said all those found guilty in paper leak cases would face the strictest possible punishment and that the government was committed to ensuring swift justice through dedicated fast-track courts.
He added that the Centre had directed the concerned ministries and authorities to take all necessary steps to establish the special courts and expedite legal proceedings.
The announcement comes amid sustained protests over the alleged examination irregularities, with the government describing the move as a significant step towards protecting students’ interests and restoring confidence in the examination system.
