Chandigarh: A significant development has emerged during the hearing of a case concerning alleged corruption linked to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, with the court taking note of the matter and issuing a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The case relates to letters sent by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to Punjab Director General of Police (DGP), seeking registration of an FIR and legal action on the basis of alleged evidence of corruption.
ED sent three letters to Punjab DGP
During the hearing, the Centre informed the High Court that the ED had written to the Punjab DGP three times, rather than just once.
