Mumbai: Salman Khan took a strong stand against social media trolling during the latest ‘Bigg Boss 20’ Weekend Ka Vaar episode, particularly defending actress Katrina Kaif against negative comments about her appearance after becoming a mother.
Salman said social media has become an important source of employment, with millions of people earning through it, but criticised those who make money by targeting and insulting others. He said people are often subjected to comments about their body, appearance, family and even motherhood.
Speaking in support of Katrina, Salman said gaining weight after pregnancy is a natural process and criticised those who troll women over such personal matters. He added that Katrina would work on her fitness when she resumes film shoots and is currently spending time with her family.
Salman also responded to comments about his own age, saying he is now 60 and cannot remain the same age as he was during ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’. He also expressed concern over growing negativity on social media and the paparazzi culture.
