75,000 medical seats to be created in next five years: PM
New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi said in his address on Thursday that 75,000 more medical seats will be created in the coming five years. He said that the youth of the country are going to study in such countries whose names they are surprised to hear.
Speaking on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, the Prime Minister said that even today, middle class children are spending lakhs and crores of rupees by going abroad for medical education.
Modi said that in the last 10 years, the medical seats have been increased to about one lakh, but in view of the trend of children going abroad to study medicine, 75,000 more seats will be increased in the coming five years.
The Prime Minister said that along with a developed India, we also have to build a healthy India.
