Special Services Operation Cell AIG Lakhbir Singh has been suspended for dereliction of duty and failure to supervise the probe into the 43,000 phone calls from Ferozepur jail. Inspector Baldev Singh, the investigating officer of the case, has also been suspended. SSP J

He is also the AIG of Counter Intelligence. He has been given the additional charge of Punjab Police Counter-Intelligence Wing SSOC.
