BJP MP Kangana Ranaut apologies for controversial remarks on farm laws

New Delhi: BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has retracted her earlier comments regarding the contentious farm laws.

In a recent statement, Ranaut said, “I withdraw my farm laws remarks,” adding that she now stands aligned with her party’s stance on the matter. She further extended an apology, saying, “I apologise if my words hurt anybody.”

Ranaut had previously supported bringing back the farm laws, which were repealed following widespread protests.

She had claimed that the laws were beneficial to farmers but were scrapped due to what she described as misleading opposition and protest campaigns.
