CBI summons 10 Punjab officials in connection with Delhi liquor scam case
Punjab E News: The ongoing investigation into the liquor scam in Delhi has now reached Punjab. The CBI has taken major action in this case. Also, 10 officials of the Excise and Taxation Department of Punjab have been summoned to Delhi. These summons have been issued by the Delhi CBI. The officials will be questioned about the Delhi liquor scam.
Efforts will be made to find out if there is any discrepancy in Punjab’s policy. However, senior officers are not ready to say anything in this matter in which ten officers have been summoned in Delhi. State Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that the matter would be investigated.

The Delhi government’s liquor policy came into effect on November 17, 2021. Under the policy, the liquor business was handed over to private hands. With this, the controversy over the liquor policy started. It is alleged that the Delhi government tried to give undue financial benefits to liquor licensees after tendering liquor shops, causing huge loss to the state exchequer.
