Delhi Assembly Elections: Polling on February 5, results on February 8
New Delhi: Delhi is set to vote for its Legislative Assembly on February 5, with the counting of votes scheduled for February 8. The current Assembly’s term will end on February 23.
Chief Electoral Officer Rajiv Kumar announced the election dates and highlighted the presence of 2 lakh first-time voters in Delhi.
Rajiv Kumar urged the youth to actively participate in the democratic process, stating that increased voter turnout will strengthen democracy. Addressing concerns over alleged voter list discrepancies, Kumar clarified that a rigorous process governs the deletion of names, ensuring no names are removed arbitrarily.

Polling will take place for all 70 Assembly seats.
Delhi has a total of 1.55 crore voters, including 83 lakh men, 71 lakh women, and 25.89 lakh young voters.
There are 2 lakh first-time voters in the capital.
Voting will be conducted at 13,033 polling stations across 2,697 locations.
The Election Commission anticipates high voter participation, reflecting the enthusiasm seen during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
