Delhi court rejects Arvind Kejriwal’s plea for treatment through video conferencing
New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar Jail in Delhi’s liquor policy case, received a big setback from the court on Monday.
Kejriwal had filed a petition in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court for medical consultation through video conferencing, which has been rejected.
In the petition, Kejriwal had sought permission to direct Tihar Jail authorities to administer him insulin and to conduct medical consultation with the doctor through video conferencing for 15 minutes every day regarding his sugar level, diabetes.
His plea in court was rejected. The court, however, ordered a medical board for Kejriwal. He is in Tihar Jail since April 1 and his judicial custody will be heard again on April 23.
