ECI orders removal of home secretaries of six states, including Gujarat, and West Bengal police chief

New Delhi: In order to conduct free, fair and transparent elections, the Election Commission of India has issued orders to remove the Home Secretaries of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Apart from this, the secretary of the general administrative department in Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh has also been removed. Along with this, the removal of the West Bengal Police Chief has also been ordered.
