ED summons Kejriwal for third time, summons him for questioning on January 3

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has once again summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The summons, sent by the ED on Friday, calls upon Kejriwal for questioning on January 3.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal has gone to Punjab for a 10-day Vipassana retreat.
Previously, the ED had summoned him on Monday for questioning regarding the liquor scam and had called him in again on Thursday. Kejriwal was advised by his lawyers that these actions were solely intended to sensationalize news in the final months leading up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Questioning the timing of the summons, Kejriwal stated, “The timing of your summons further strengthens my belief that they are not based on any valid purpose or rational criteria but are purely aimed at publicity and sensationalizing news in the run-up to the much-awaited Lok Sabha elections in the country.”
