Election Commission bars Centre from sending ‘developed India’ messages on WhatsApp

New Delhi: Regarding the Lok Sabha elections 2024, people will no longer get the messages of developed India received on WhatsApp from the government.

The Election Commission on Thursday directed the Ministry of Technology and Information Technology (IT) to immediately stop the Vikash Bharat message being sent on WhatsApp.

In fact, the Election Commission had received a complaint that despite the announcement of the dates of the Lok Sabha elections and the implementation of the Code of Conduct, messages telling the schemes of the Modi government are being sent to the common people.
