Election of Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor to be held on Feb 16

New Delhi: The Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) gave its nod to hold the election of mayor on February 16. The deputy mayor and six members of the standing committee will also be elected on the occasion.

The date was proposed by the Delhi government. It may be recalled that the mayor could not be elected thrice due to the ruckus in the corporation house and on Thursday, the municipal corporation had fixed February 16 as the date for the election of the mayor, which has been approved by the LG.
