Farmers reach Jantar Mantar in support of wrestlers

New Delhi: Farmers and khap panchayats gathered today in support of the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar. On this occasion, many BKU (Ugrahan) activists also reached out to the protesters and protested. Police stopped some activists of the outfit from entering the national capital, following which they staged a protest at Delhi’s Tikri border.

Earlier, the protesters broke barricades put up by the Delhi Police to check vehicles at the border. However, they were later allowed to enter Delhi. Hundreds of farmers and women farmers from Punjab today arrived in the capital to take part in the wrestlers’ protest against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
