Four Maoists killed in encounter in Gadchiroli, AK47 and several weapons recovered

New Delhi: Police have achieved great success in the encounter with Naxalites in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. C60 commandos have killed 4 Naxalites in this encounter.

According to Gadchiroli district SP Nilotpal, on Monday afternoon, a tip-off was received about a conspiracy by some Telangana state committee members to foment trouble during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

After this, information was received that a group of Naxalites had crossed the Pranahita river in Gadchiroli from Telangana and entered the district.

As soon as the intelligence was received, several teams of C60 and CRPF QAT from Aheri sub-police headquarters led by Additional SP Ops Yatish Deshmukh were rushed to search the area.

During the search in Kolamarca mountains, 5 km from SPS Repanpally, this morning, a team of 4 C60 parties was fired upon by the Naxalites, to which the C60 teams retaliated strongly and killed 4 Naxalites.
