“Govt must ensure there is no violence, no hate speech”: SC order on Nuh violence
Nuh (Haryana): Tension prevailed in many places in Haryana due to the violence spread in Nuh. Now the matter has reached the Supreme Court. The matter was heard in the Supreme Court. During the hearing, Justice Khanna asked what is the main reason. On which the petitioner’s lawyer said that this is a hate speech against a community. Rally is taking place and speech is being given.
The Supreme Court asked the government to follow the orders of the Supreme Court regarding hate speech. The court will hold a hearing on Friday. Along with this, the Supreme Court warned the government to ensure that there is no violence or hate speech. Immediate safety measures should be taken. Additional precautions should be taken in sensitive areas, as well as additional police force should be deployed and CCTV and videography should be done.
In the Nuh case, there was a demand for an early hearing before the CJI. On this, CJI DY Chandrachud said that send an immediate mail to the Registrar, we will immediately order the hearing of the case. Advocate CU Singh said that the situation there is very serious. There are 23 rallies being held in Delhi NCR, there is a need for an early hearing and there has been violence in the neighboring state. The Supreme Court also said that there can be no dispute that hate speeches spoil the atmosphere. Necessary steps should be taken to maintain the rule of law.
CU Singh said that a mahapanchayat is being held at four o’clock today. However, there is no ban on rallies. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for August 4. The communal violence that erupted in Nuh has spread to many parts of the state, including Gurugram.
