“Kejriwal eating sweets and mangoes in jail…”: ED opposes doctor’s consultation plea in court

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently lodged in Tihar jail, had sought the court’s permission to allow him to consult a regular doctor through video conferencing.

When Arvind Kejriwal’s application was heard in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court, the ED opposed it.

The ED said that Arvind Kejriwal is claiming high diabetes while he is eating sweets, sweet tea and mangoes in jail. Kejriwal is trying to create ground for bail.

Arvind Kejriwal’s lawyer objected to this and said that the ED is making all these allegations for the media.

The Delhi Chief Minister was arrested by the ED last month on charges of corruption linked to the alleged liquor policy scam and was sent to jail after being questioned by the ED in its custody for over a week.
