Laptop, mobile seized from Kejriwal’s residence

New Delhi: A Delhi Police team seized a laptop and a CCTV digital video recorder (DVR) from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence in connection with the alleged assault on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, officials said.

According to the police, the seized items could assist in the investigation. Additionally, the Delhi Police have taken some documents from the Chief Minister’s residence.

A Delhi court has sent Kejriwal’s personal secretary, Vaibhav Kumar, who was arrested in the case, to a five-day police remand. The Delhi Police had sought a seven-day remand.

After hearing the arguments from both the Delhi Police and Vaibhav’s counsel, the court reserved its verdict late on Saturday night and pronounced it around 1:45 PM.

The Delhi Police said that the attack on AAP leader Swati Maliwal could have been fatal. They also claimed that the CCTV footage seized from Chief Minister Kejriwal’s official residence in connection with the May 13 attack is blank.
