Manjinder Singh Sirsa takes oath as cabinet minister in Punjabi

New Delhi: Manjinder Singh Sirsa, a senior leader in the new BJP government, was sworn in as a cabinet minister in Delhi on Thursday.

Sirsa, who was elected as an MLA from Rajouri Garden, took his oath in Punjabi and called out “Fateh” on stage.

Sirsa’s victory in Rajouri Garden secured him a place in the cabinet, validating the BJP high command’s decision to field him.

This is not his first tenure in public service, as he has previously raised several issues concerning the Punjabi community.
