Opposition parties pledge to fight together, next meeting in Shimla

Punjab E News: Leaders of 15 opposition political parties held a marathon meeting on Friday to chalk out a common strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in which it was decided that they will fight unitedly against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The next meeting of the opposition parties will be held in Shimla next month.
    The meeting, hosted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, was held at the chief minister’s residence ‘1 Aney Marg’ and was attended by around 30 opposition leaders. After the meeting of opposition parties, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said in a joint press conference with opposition leaders, “It was a very good meeting, it was agreed to walk together.” Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the next meeting will be held in Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla in July.
