PM Modi launches renovation of 553 railway stations in the country, including three in Punjab

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of nearly 2,000 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore.

During this time, he also dedicated some projects to the nation. Modi laid the foundation stone for the renovation of 553 railway stations under the Pradhan Mantri Amrit Bharat Station Yojana through video conferencing.

These include three Jalandhar, Beas and Moga railway stations in Punjab. These stations, located in 27 states and Union Territories, will be redeveloped at a cost of over Rs 19,000 crore.
