School bus overturns in Haryana’s Narnaul, 6 children killed; Many injured
Chandigarh: In Narnaul, Haryana, a school bus full of children overturned, causing a major accident. Six children died in the incident, according to the District Education Officer, who also stated that 12 children were seriously injured. The incident occurred near Unhani village of Kenina in Narnaul.
Several children were seriously injured when the bus belonging to GL Public School overturned. The main concern is that the school was operating even on the official holiday of Eid. It was reported that the fitness certificate of the bus had expired, yet it was still transporting children.
A similar incident occurred on April 2 near Salarpur village in the Thana Deva area of Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh. Four people, including three children and a conductor, were killed, and 32 others were injured when a school bus carrying students overturned while returning from a picnic in Lucknow.
Police reported that the school bus was traveling at a high speed at the time of the accident, and it occurred while attempting to avoid a motorcyclist. The deceased included three children aged between 12 and 13 and the bus conductor, with 32 children sustaining serious injuries.
