Shankar Mishra, accused in urine case, arrested on January 6, gets bail

New Delhi: Shankar Mishra, an accused in the Air India urine case, has been granted bail. Shankar Mishra has been granted bail by the Patiala House Court on a bond of Rs 1 lakh. Earlier, the court had completed the hearing on Monday and reserved the verdict.

Additional Sessions Judge Harjyot Singh pronounced the verdict on Tuesday, January 31. Shankar Mishra was arrested on January 6.
The accused, Shankar Mishra, has been accused of urinating on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi on November 26 last year. He, however, denied the allegation.
After this, he was in police custody since January 6. During the hearing of this case, Justice Bhalla had said that the investigating agency is not testifying in favor of the witness named. There is a contradiction between the statement of the complainant and the statement of the witness.
