Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh actively campaigns for Congress in Delhi elections
Chandigarh: Balkaur Singh, father of late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, is now fully engaged in politics and was recently seen campaigning for Congress in the Delhi assembly elections. He was accompanied by Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.
Raja Warring shared a video on social media showing Balkaur Singh campaigning from a vehicle playing Sidhu Moosewala’s song while seeking votes for Congress. The party appears to be leveraging Moosewala’s legacy to garner support in the elections.
Balkaur Singh campaigned for Congress candidate Abhishek Dutt from Kasturba Gandhi Nagar. Previously, the Congress had fielded Moosewala as a candidate from Mansa in Punjab. Singh’s close association with the party includes frequent meetings with Rahul Gandhi.
Since Moosewala’s murder, Balkaur Singh has been vocal against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging government complicity in the interview of gangster Lawrence. He continues to demand justice for his son.
