Steve Jobs’ wife Laurene takes spiritual diksha at Mahakumbh, receives name ‘Kamala’

Mahakumbh Nagar (UP): Laurene Powell Jobs, social worker and wife of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, has taken spiritual diksha from her guru, Swami Kailashananda Giri, during the ongoing Mahakumbh.

She has been given the spiritual name ‘Kamala’ by her guru, who heads the Mahamandaleshwar or Panchayati Akhara Sri Niranjani.

Shagun Tyagi, media advisor to Swami Kailashananda Giri, revealed that the diksha process began last night, during which Powell received the holy Kali Beej Mantra.

The ceremony was held at Swami Giri’s camp and attended by his personal secretary, Avantikananda, as well as Powell’s secretary.

The details of what Powell offered in Guru Dakshina remain undisclosed. Powell had been staying at the Mahakumbh camp for three days before the ceremony.
