“This summons is also illegal”, CM Arvind Kejriwal responds to ED’s summons
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has responded to the summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED). In his reply, he stated his readiness to comply with all legal summons but labeled this particular ED summons, like its predecessors, as illegal. Kejriwal also asserted that the ED’s summons appeared to be entirely politically motivated and urged for its withdrawal.
In his reply to the ED, the Chief Minister said, “I have lived my life honestly and transparently; I have nothing to hide.” According to sources, Kejriwal was scheduled to appear before the ED on Thursday, but he is presently attending a Vipassana session in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Consequently, he will not be able to comply with the ED’s summons at this time. Previously, he was summoned for questioning on November 2 but did not appear before the ED, opting to engage in campaigning during the Madhya Pradesh elections.
